Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura, a flagship college of SGI, and DPIIT of Ministry of Commerce and Industry Govt. of India have signed an MoU with National Productivity Council.
An MoU was signed for setting up a Center of Excellence in Industry 4.0 by Mr. Shailesh Srivastava, Secretary, National Productivity Council, and Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, Director, Hindustan College, Mathura. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Uma Shankar Prashad, Director and Group Head (IE & HRM) and Head of Excellence Center, Industry 4.0, Mr. Yadu Yadav, Assistant Director, NPC and Mr. Aman Gulati, Deputy Director, NPC.
Vice-Chairman of Sharda Group Shri Y. K. Executive, Vice-President Prof. V. K. Sharma congratulated the College authorities for this unique initiative which opened up new avenues for students and teachers. He mentioned that there is huge potential for Industry 4.0 in India and this will create more employment opportunities for students under the training program. ,
Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, Director of Hindustan College thanked the National Productivity Council, Government of India for choosing Hindustan College as a centre. He said that the purpose of this MoU is mainly to create a lay out plan under which the two organizations set up a framework and can enter into a more specific explanation to undertake collaborative programs to meet the objectives of the Center of Excellence on IT for Industry 4.0 to create awareness and implementation of Industry 4.0 among manufacturing industries. In addition to awareness, both organizations will work towards the Academia-Industry linkage.
He informed that workshops and capacity building programs will be organized under this agreement so that research study can be facilitated. Under this agreement, Hindustan College will organize International Conferences, Faculty Development Program etc.
Head of Institute Industry Interface SGI, Dr. T. Senthil Siva Subramanian said that Hindustan College is the first College in the state of Uttar Pradesh and the Agra-Mathura region to partner with the National Productivity Council for Industry 4.0. The Center of Excellence will be set up to achieve the vision of a credible India that is self-reliant India, which will support the vision of “creating a new India” with a strong government-to-industry interface. NPC aims for customized training capacity building programs, promoting entrepreneurial activities, setting up next generation robotics laboratories in the industries, Industry 4.0. Marketing 4.0 Finance 4.0, providing information related to Enterprise 4.0, Starting Your Own Business, Consulting and Guidance and Entrepreneurship Development Training Program, Starting Your New Startup Business etc. After all, today students will be either an employer or an employee, who can play an important role in the growth of the economy.
On this occasion, all the Deans, Heads of the Departments, Faculty and staff members of the college expressed their happiness over the agreement with the National Productivity Council.
