Workshop Day-5 on ‘Human Values & Professional Ethics’ @ HCST
Faculty Development Programme on Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics was conducted from 28 May- 04 June, 2018 at Hindustan College of Science & Technology, Farah, Mathura under the aegis of Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam University, Lucknow, under TEQIP III programme. 22 participants from different engineering colleges of AKTU attended this program. Shri Umesh Jadhav ji from Royal University, Bhutn was the Resourse person of this workshop. Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta facilitated this program as Co-Resource Person, Shri Dheeraj Kumar Singh acted as Co-facilitator and Shri Alok Kumar Pandey was the Observer from AKTU, Lucknow.
Dr.G.C. Saxena, Ex. Vice chancellor- Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad and Dr. B.R.Ambedkar University, Agra was the chief guest at the valedictory function. He applauded the efforts being taken by the college to ensure values among the various stake holders of the society. He said that mother is the first teacher of a child and instilling values in a child starts very early in the childhood under the guidance of the parents. The religious
and cultural heritage of India is rich in content and subjects of professional ethics and human values. Discourses of Vedas, Purans, Ramayana and Mahabharata are value based. There seems some erosion in human values. This erosion is posing some challenges before the new generation. It is the duty of academicians to put forward a roadmap for the betterment of the people through value based education. These workshops will provide a useful platform to the academicians and teachers to discuss issues directly related to human welfare and nation building. He elaborated various qualities of ideal man and women.
Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay, Director, HCST, welcomed the chief guest and expressed his gratitude to AKTU, Lucknow for giving this opportunity to serve the nation through these workshops and thus inculcating values in the students to live a happy and fulfilling professional life. The coordinator of the programme was Dr. Mamta Sharma,HOD,Humanities. Dr. Harendra Singh, Dr. Sandeep Agrawal, Dr. P.K.Sharma,Dr. R.K.Tiwari and all the faculty members of the college attended the function.
