Former Governor of Chattishgarh and Tripura Lt. Gen. Mr. K. M. Seth and Senior Journalist of News-18 Ms. Navjot Randhava interacted with the faculty members and students of Hindustan College on 26th January, 2019

Hindustan College of Science & Technology, Mathura, the flagship college of SGI, organized an interaction session on the 70th Republic Day of India on the topic “The Role of Youth in the Current Scenario”. Former Governor of Chattishgarh and Tripura and Lt. Gen. (Retd.) K. M. Seth was the Chief Guest and Senior Journalist of News-18 Ms. Navjot Randhava was the Guest of Honour of the Republic Day function. After the flag hoisting and cultural function the college organized an interaction session in which both the dignitaries gave answers of the questions asked by the faculty members and students of the college. The dais was shared by the Executive Vice President of SGI Prof. V.K.Sharma, Executive Director Prof. D.G.Rai Chaudhary, and the Director of the college Prof. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay on that occasion.
The Director of the college said that our country is developing very fast in the fields of Science and Technology. In the last 70 years, the country has achieved self sustainability in many fields. Our scientists and engineers have achieved success in developing the technologies of space, land and water. He asked the students to study whole heartedly in the college so that they can contribute in the development of their nation.
The Executive Vice President Prof. V.K. Sharma told that India has developed in social and economical fields in the last 70 years. He told that India is the 6thlargest economy and in near future it will become 5th largest economy in the world. It shows the fast development of our country.
The Chief Guest of the function former Governor of Chattishgarh and Tripura, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) K.M. Seth, who was honoured with AVSM in 1985 and PVSM in 1996 form Indian Government told that he was feeling honoured to talk with the faculty members and the students of the renowned engineering college. He told that the GDP of India is at the highest position in comparison to its previous records and which will more increase in near future. Various countries are now investing in India and they see better future and environment of development in India. He told that the economy of the leading 9 Industrialists is 51 percentage of the total economy of the country. It shows the economic diversity in India.  Now-a-days our youth are seeking govt. jobs but they are having equal opportunities in the private sectors of India. He asked the students of the college to develop new technologies through start up program and through entrepreneurship.
In the question session Mr. Ajay Parashar Asst. Prof. of IT dept. asked that the youth of India is facing many problems like busyness in workplace, unemployment in the relevant fields and biased policies of the organizations. In such situations how he can contribute in the development of his country. Ms. Shivi Sharma Asst. Prof. of Bio-Tech. dept. raised the question that how a teacher can encourage youth for the development of the country. Ms. Rupali Mahanan, Asst. Prof. of Electronics and Communication dept. asked how a youth can contribute to stop terrorism, corruption and inequality in cast system in the country. Mr. Rohit Mittal of Mechanical Engineering dept. asked that how youth can contribute to develop positive political environment in India. Asst. Prof. of Electrical and Electronic dept. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar asked that a fresher Graduates, Post Graduates try to seek jobs in govt. sector. How they can be encouraged to find out jobs in private sectors or start some work by the start up program of the government.
Both the dignitaries quenched the thirst with appropriate answers to all the questions of the participants. At last of the program, Dr. Sandeep Agrawal, Dean Student Welfare proposed vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants of the program.
